For food wood and bamboo boards, you can use salt and lemon to remove the stains. For stubborn stains such as beet stains, you can make a paste with baking soda and water. To eliminate the smells, especially those smells of garlic, fish, etc., you can use white vinegar. For tougher smells, sprinkle baking soda on the board, scrub it in gently, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing.
